Chancel Repairs

This project required the recovering of the chancel roof in new handmade local tiles as the existing tiles were in a poor state and the roof was no longer watertight. The opportunity was taken to increase the ventilation to the sarking boards that was suffering from beetle infestation, and to carry out a number of timber repairs including to the rafter feet.

Masonry repairs to the stone copings was also carried out, as well as general repointing of defective areas including the crossing wall.
